Line/curve of best fit best represents the data on a scatter plot. It may pass through none, some, or all of the points. Try to balance the number of points above and below the line.
Hmm i dont really understand your question. Could you ask me in class during lab? I think the general idea when drawing a best fit line is to draw a line that will minimize the distance from it to each of the data points.
So a best fit line doesn't have to have the same number of points equally spaced out at each side of it?

DeleteThe line of best fit must pass through each error bar. There are no such thing as accurate ponits representing measurements.
